Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God in their original writings, and our final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

The Triune God

There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

The Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is true God and true Man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God (John 1:1,14; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11).

Humanity and Sin

God created man and woman in His image, but all have sinned and are therefore separated from God (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).

Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is received as a free gift apart from any works or religious efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12).

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and is commissioned to preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations (1 Corinthians 12:13; Matthew 28:18-20).

The Second Coming

We believe in the personal, imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment (John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15).
